all the games i've ever made ever

lasting consequences remake (nov 2021) the twine game i made exports to html, but is filled with bloat that didn't need to be there. once i learned enough javascript to recreate it, i did. this remake was reduced to 2.5% of its original size, much nicer for hosting on this website.

one ticket to the lonely soul scarecrow show (sep 2021) a time capsule recording my first anniversary in game development, set inside one of my abandoned projects. navigate a corn maze, talk to scarecrows, listen to me reflect on my experiences and lessons learned.

captain gregg on the planet egg (aug 2021) a small arcade game i made in 9 hours on friday the 13th. play as the intrepid captain gregg as he explores progressively spikier worlds from the safety of his hamster ball. interesting movement system, i think.

nodder (aug 2021) small bitsy game i made on a plane flying from denver to chicago. hop up out of your seat and chat with some of your fellow passengers as you make your way to the bathroom. built to test the flexibility of bitsy and the strange conditions games can now be built under.

trash day (apr 2021) a quick point-and-click adventure game i made over half the day on april fool's day. your roommates ask you to take out the trash, and since you're a good roommate, you'd be happy to oblige! or you don't have to, but you'll soft lock the game halfway through if you don't.

keep them safe (feb 2021) you have been bitten by a werewolf. every full moon, you transform into a mindless beast. in order to protect the ones you love, you'll have to hold your memories of them in your mind to resist the transformation. a small memory game made for nokia jam.

true north (dec 2020) my first foray into procedural generation. didn't have a ton of time to execute on the vision, so it's really just a short treasure-hunt-style game. i'm most proud of the working map and compass i was able to implement - those will almost certainly be used again elsewhere.

midnight visit (dec 2020) a shy ghost is having trouble sleeping. with nowhere else to turn, it comes to your room in the middle of the night, seeking help. a short bitsy game about helping those in need, trespassing, and kids up past their bedtime.

bread, milk, eggs (nov 2020) your name is spike, and your dinosaur parents are coming over for dinner. you've run to the grocery store to stock up on what you'll need for the meal. browse the aisles, talk to your neighbors, and pick up whatever food you'll need to make a scrumptious dinner! my personal favorite of the games i've made.

upwards (nov 2020) a spooky tower climber. read a truly depressing story as you ascend a shittily-textured stone tower. i made this to encourage the player to examine the options they have available to them, but i think i was maybe a little too obtuse in this respect.

lasting consequences (nov 2020) a twine game where the choices you make result in losing letters from the future narrative. an interesting idea, but it was hell to implement, and i tried to do it too quickly. as i write this, i'm getting the sense that making another twine game might be fun.

early release (oct 2020) a game with no graphical interface. stumble around in the dark to help your fellow prisoner escape. between my wonky vector math and my oversights when trying to make the game blind-accessible, this one's a doozy. could be worse, i suppose.

three hours to athens (oct 2020) an "endless" runner that is actually just a real-time marathon simulator. can you embody the spirit of pheidippides and make it all the way to athens? it takes a loooooong time to run a marathon! if you ever reach the victory screen, let me know and i'll send you a finisher's medal.

gallery wall (oct 2020) tried to make another spooktacular, but one that was spooky despite being set in broad daylight. flush out a demon hiding in your gallery wall before it grows strong enough to possess you! thankfully you've got a limitless supply of holy water, that shit's probably expensive in real life.

press on (oct 2020) a creepy game about escaping an insidious maze. if you stop moving within the confines of the maze, you will be returned to the start. this one is actually pretty good, i think. well, it got a large amount of attention relative to my other games when it was released. scary sells, i guess.

orbital decay (oct 2020) oh no! your space module's geosynchronous orbit has decayed, and you are now falling towards the earth! stay calm, and listen to the soft, soothing computer voice to help get you out of this mess. though...don't you think we rely on technology too much?

breakfast for an astrobotanist (sep 2020) breakfast time! though before you can eat yours, you pulled the short straw, which means you've got to run around the space station, feeding all of the man-sized plants that call this place home. do it quick, but don't waste too much food!

numeromancer (sep 2020) first game i ever made. a small math minute game where you play as a numeromancer. answer math problems to power up your spell. as you correctly solve more and more problems, the familiar you summon will grow more and more powerful! can you summon the legendary technicolor unicorn?
